Jay J. Arms and his Goodies

Okay, I said I’d soon put up Jay J. Arms, aka JJ Arms pages. It only took me FIVE WHOLE MONTHS!

I work on glacial speed settings. But hey, I was trying to finish my novel, write some comics, and do a bunch of other crap to avoid actually doing things I’m supposed to do. Any way, here you go. JJ. Enjoy.

Eventually I’ll get around to posting the stuff I have on his super cool 70′s van!

I had lunch with a very cool guy last week who was in town interviewing. We were chatting and it came up that I run this site. Which he was hugely surprised to learn, especially since he was a big fan of the site.

We talked some more and he (rightfully) chastised me about not updating the site a bit more, especially since I am unemployed at the moment and have a lot of time on my hands.

TH3 Project Black Genius

So, in honor of the guy who bought me lunch because I forgot my wallet (seriously, how pathetic is that?) I am updating the site with a toy line most of you are probably unfamiliar with, the Italian Sci Fi series from Edison Giocattoli, TH3 Project. If you like 70′s Sci Fi, you’ll love these toys…

Up now is the overview page. This week I will add a page dedicated to two of the characters, Tharos and Thitan, two of the playsets, Video Control and Black Genius, and a page with some random, but cool, scans and pictures.

UPDATE: Added a Black Genius page.

SPECIAL NOTE: The toys on this site aren’t usually for sale, but given the above mentioned employment status and a general need to get rid of stuff, all of my TH3 stuff (Tharos, Thitan, Video Control and Black Genius, all MIB) will be going up on eBay.

Buck Rogers Communicators

This was a very cool find that I had never seen before. A Buck Rogers belt with some walkie talkies, a wrist watch,
and other accessories. Not to mention a big Twikki figure. Not 100% sure what he does.

Pair this up with the helmet accessory and you’re ready to take on Princess Ardalla!

Invasion of Anzio Military Playset

As a kid, I loved playsets. Dinosaur ones. Western ones. Exploding bridges. Playsets were just super cool.

Military playsets were always my facorites though. I didn’t have this one but I am sure I would have loved it if I had. The set has 145 action filled parts and a cool looking set to act out all sorts of battles.

The dealer selling this particular toy only wanted $20 for it, and it was I’m awesome shape, but it was MASSIVE! So even at $20 they couldn’t sell it.

Still cool though.

Zeroid Alien

This was a new find for me. I am a big fan of Zeroids generally, and have several, but have never encountered an Alien Zeroid.

The Alien is unique among Zeroids. First, it explodes! Not literally of course, but in the manner of all wonderful 60s and 70s exploding toys – it falls apart. The head and several of the parts pop off when it reaches the end of a path that is programed into it.

Second, you can prorgram it! Sort of. When assembling it from the parts that will eventually blow off, you place a gear inside that determines the Zeroid’s course.

And lastly, the thing is a cyborg alien. All the other Zeroids are just straight up robots.

A very cool toy, and one of the nearest Zeroids I’ve seen.

Battlestar Galactica Viper Launch Station

I have a shot of this on the Battlestar Galactica page, but I ran across an unopened one in excellent condition. I have always wanted one of these but they’re damn big. This one was also damn expensive. They wanted $200 for it.

It is based on a plane launching toy and sends small vipers into the air via a rubber band powered launch pad. I have found the toy before, but the vipers are usually pretty “battle damaged” from a few too many flights. A very cool toy!

Batman Executive Set

For the toy loving executive who has everything, today I bring you a deskset to inspire envy around the board room -a Batman desk set.

Included is a Joker stapler, a Batman pencil sharpener, and a Batman calendar/card holder.

I am currently working out of my garage or I would have bought it to impress my office mates.
